NOISE by Circles for iPhone — Privacy Policy

NOISE by Circles for iPhone (“NOISE,” the “App”) is provided by Circles Audio LLC (“Circles,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles information.

Summary

NOISE does not collect, transmit, sell, rent, or share personal data with Circles Audio LLC.

The App does not require an account and does not contain advertising, analytics, tracking technology, or third-party data-collection software.

Audio recordings and related project information are stored locally on the user’s device. Audio leaves the App only when the user intentionally exports or shares it using Apple’s system sharing features.

Information We Do Not Collect

Circles Audio LLC does not collect the following information through the App:

  • Names, email addresses, or contact information
  • Account or login information
  • Payment or financial information
  • Precise or approximate location
  • Contacts, photos, or camera data
  • Device identifiers
  • Advertising identifiers
  • Usage analytics
  • Diagnostic or crash-reporting data
  • Browsing or search history
  • Audio recordings or project information
  • Tracking data

The App does not use data to track users across apps, websites, or services.

Microphone Access

NOISE requests access to the iPhone microphone so the user can record sounds inside the App.

Microphone access is used only when the user chooses to record. While recording, the App displays an active recording control, timer, audio-level indicator, and waveform.

Recorded audio is processed locally on the device. Circles Audio LLC does not receive or have access to microphone recordings.

Users can disable microphone access at any time in:

iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone

Disabling microphone access will prevent new recordings but will not remove recordings already stored on the device.

Audio Recordings and Project Data

The App may create and store the following information locally:

  • Audio recordings
  • Exported WAV files
  • Waveform information
  • Loop and region boundaries
  • Project and recording names
  • Audio-editing settings
  • App preferences

This information is stored inside the App’s local container on the user’s device. It is not transmitted to Circles Audio LLC or stored on Circles Audio LLC servers.

Exporting and Sharing

NOISE allows users to export recordings or loop regions as WAV files.

When the user chooses to share an exported file, the App opens Apple’s standard iOS share sheet. Depending on the apps and services installed on the device, the user may choose destinations such as:

  • AirDrop
  • Mail
  • Messages
  • Files
  • Other compatible apps or services

Sharing occurs only after the user intentionally selects the Share command and chooses a destination.

Once a file is shared with another person, app, or service, that recipient’s or service provider’s privacy practices apply. Circles Audio LLC does not control how third-party destinations handle files selected by the user.

Local File Access

Recordings and exported files may be accessible through Apple’s Files app, Finder file sharing, or other Apple-provided file-management features when enabled by the user.

The App accesses only files stored within its own app container or files the user explicitly chooses to share or manage.

Data Retention and Deletion

Recordings and project information remain on the user’s device until the user:

  • Deletes an item from the App’s library;
  • Deletes an exported file through Files or another destination; or
  • Removes the App from the device.

Because Circles Audio LLC does not receive or store this information, Circles Audio LLC does not maintain a separate server-side copy and cannot retrieve or delete locally stored recordings on the user’s behalf.

Accounts and Purchases

NOISE does not require account registration or login.

The current version of the App does not include:

  • In-app purchases
  • Paid subscriptions
  • Advertising
  • User profiles
  • Cloud synchronization
  • User-generated-content publishing
  • Social-networking features

Analytics, Advertising, and Tracking

The App does not include analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, tracking SDKs, or cross-app tracking technology.

The App does not use Apple’s App Tracking Transparency framework because it does not track users.

External Services

The App uses Apple-provided iOS frameworks for microphone recording, audio processing, local file storage, playback, and the system share sheet.

The App does not rely on developer-operated servers, authentication providers, payment processors, advertising networks, artificial-intelligence services, or external data providers to provide its core functionality.

Data Security

Audio and project information are stored locally using the protections provided by iOS and the user’s device.

Users are responsible for protecting access to their devices and for selecting appropriate recipients when sharing exported files.

No method of electronic storage is guaranteed to be completely secure. However, the App minimizes privacy risk by keeping its content locally and not transmitting it to Circles Audio LLC.

Children’s Privacy

NOISE does not knowingly collect personal information from children or any other users.

Because the App does not provide accounts, advertising, tracking, public posting, or developer-operated data collection, Circles Audio LLC does not receive children’s personal information through the App.

Regional Availability

The App’s privacy practices are consistent across all supported countries and regions.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy if the App’s features or data-handling practices change.

If a material change is made, the updated policy will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. The App Store privacy disclosure will also be updated when required.
