Common plugin questions

Start here if you just need the quick version.

How do I download and install the Circles Plugin?

Purchase the plugin first, then go to Account & Downloads. Sign in with the same email you used at checkout, open your products, and download the correct installer for Mac or Windows.

How do I activate the plugin?

Activation happens inside the plugin. Open Circles in your DAW and sign in using the same email tied to your purchase.

I bought the plugin but don’t see a download email.

Circles does not currently send a separate software download email. Go to Account & Downloads and use your purchase email to access your products.

I purchased from Circles before. How do I access my products?

Use the same email address you purchased with. If your purchases were imported, reset your password first, then sign in to access your products.

The plugin isn’t showing up in my DAW.

Restart your DAW and rescan plugins first. Circles supports AU, VST3, and AAX. If it still does not appear, confirm the correct plugin format was installed and check your DAW’s plugin manager or preferences.

Where are plugin files usually installed?

macOS
AU: /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components
VST3: /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3
AAX: /Library/Application Support/Avid/Audio/Plug-Ins

Windows
VST3: C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3
AAX: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Avid\Audio\Plug-Ins

My libraries are missing.

Make sure the Core library is installed and that the plugin is pointed to the correct content location. If you changed the content path incorrectly, Circles may not be able to find your libraries.

I installed an expansion, but it doesn’t appear.

Install the expansion, reopen the plugin, and confirm the library path is correct. The expansion should appear in the browser once the plugin can see the installed content.

Which DAWs and formats are supported?

Circles supports all major DAWs that use AU, VST3, or AAX, including Logic, Ableton Live, and Pro Tools.

I’m moving to a new computer. What should I do?

Sign in with your Circles account on the new machine, install the plugin again, and reactivate inside the plugin. If you run into license or device-limit issues, contact support.
